Ollie Gordon

First up we have our Managing Director of TradeConnex, Ollie Gordon. Ollie started out as an apprentice carpenter whilst working back in Ireland. He worked in the trade for 6 years gaining experience all over the world. In Glasgow he studied distance learning to achieve a BEng in Construction Management, this along with his developing experience helped him secure a role as a Project Engineer when he first moved to the mines in Perth in 2011. Ollie moved here for the increased opportunity Australia displayed, along with the good weather! Working in this role was very developmental to his knowledge of the office ongoings in the construction industry. Ollie then became a 360 recruitment consultant in 2015. It was here where he learned about recruitment and the running of a business including the pros and cons of doing so. He always had the passion to own his own business, he took the leap in October 2016 when he established TradeConnex. 

Ollie’s role here at TradeConnex is to continuously try to improve the company in all aspects. Making it efficient and an exciting place to work for all employees. Ollie is an extremely enthusiastic and positive character with the desire to succeed. His passion and drive emerges into the work culture and boosts morale throughout the company. This culture that Ollie has created is one of his favourite things about the company, working together and working hard to get the job done even outside of the regular 9-5 hours. One of Ollie’s fondest memories at the company is the first solar job in Manildra, NSW. To see the growth of the business & 40 workers with the Tradeconnex work shirts on was a very proud moment.
